Refit

1. Thoroughly clean each tappet.

2. Lubricate each tappet with clean engine oil.

See INFORMATION, Capacities, fluids and lubricants.

3. Fit tappets.

4. Clean tappet retainers.

5. Fit tappet retainers.

6. Fit cylinder head gaskets. See this section.

FLYWHEEL

Service repair no - 12.53.07

Remove

1. Remove clutch assembly. See CLUTCH, Repairs.

2. Remove and discard 6 bolts securing flywheel to crankshaft.

3. Remove flywheel from crankshaft.

4. Remove 2 thrust washers from rear main bearing carrier.
