25. Fit inlet and exhaust manifolds. See MANIFOLD & EXHAUST SYSTEMS, Repairs.

26. Fit coolant manifold. See COOLING SYSTEM- DIESEL, Repairs.

27. Fit injectors. See ENGINE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM - EDC, Repairs.

28. Fit rocker cover. See this section.

CAUTION: Rotate crankshaft slowly to ensure tappets have retracted and pistons clear valves.

29. Start and run engine for 20 minutes.

30. Switch off engine and allow to cool for 4 hours.

1. Remove engine acoustic cover.

2. Loosen clip and disconnect breather hose.

3. Remove 4 screws securing rocker cover.

4. Remove rocker cover.

5. Disconnect 4 glow plug connectors.

6. Remove and discard rocker cover gasket.

7. Remove 4 sealing washers from screws and discard.

31. Starting at bolt 1, loosen off then tighten to 30 Nm then a further 130°

32. Repeat procedure, one bolt at a time for bolts 2 to 10.

33. Recheck by torque tightening bolts 11 and 12 to 90 Nm.
