Remove 4 bolts securing air conditioning
compressor to bracket on cylinder block. 22. Remove 2 bolts securing compressor support bracket to engine bracket. 23. Release compressor from bracket and move aside for access to injection pump lower securing nut. 24. Slacken 3 nuts securing injection pump. 25. Adjust pump position to obtain correct reading. 26. Tighten nuts securing pump to 27 Nm. NOTE: Final movement of pump must ALWAYS be in a clockwise direction. 27. Turn crankshaft anti-clockwise until dial gauge needle stops. Turn crankshaft clockwise until pulley is aligned with TDC mark and re-check reading on dial gauge.28. Position compressor to mounting bracket. 29. Fit bolts securing compressor and tighten to 25 Nm. 30. Fit bolts securing compressor support bracket and tighten to 25 Nm. 31. Position jockey pulley, fit bolt and tighten to 45 Nm. NOTE: LH thread. 32. Lower engine, fit engine RH mounting through bolt, position special nut and tighten bolt to 45 Nm.33. Remove lifting hoist and lifting eye. 34. Align air conditioning pipe clip to pulley shield and tighten bolt 35. Position top hose clip to bracket and tighten nut. 36. Clean drive belt pulleys. 37. Position alternator to engine. 38. Align alternator to mounting bracket, fit and tighten bolts to 25 Nm. 39. Connect multiplug to alternator. 40. Fit ancillary belt tensioning tool 18G 1614 to power steering pump bracket. 41. Raise tensioner and connect drive belt from PAS pump and alternator pulleys. 42. Position cooling fan housing to radiator. 43. Tighten bolts to 6 Nm. 44. Connect cooling fan multiplugs. 45. Position harness and secure to clips. 46. Fit intercooler. See Repairs. 47. Remove dial gauge and 18G 1552 from pump. 48. Fit new washer to plug, fit plug to rear of pump and tighten to 30 Nm. 49. Position breather separator, align harness clip and tighten bolts. 50. Fit air cleaner assembly. See Repairs. 51. Fit rocker cover. See ENGINE - DIESEL, Repairs. 52. Fit injector pipes. See FUEL DELIVERY SYSTEM, Repairs. 53. Fit PAS pump pulley shield and tighten bolts.
