ENGINE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM - EDC
Refit
1.
Fit lead to stop solenoid and tighten nut to 3 Nm.2. Using NEW sealing washers, fit feed pipe and tighten banjo bolt to 19 Nm.
3. Clean pump and engine mating faces, clean pump drive spindle and drive gear bore. Fit new gasket.
4. Align pump drive spindle to eleven o’clock position.
5. Fit pump.
6. Position support bracket and fit bolt securing bracket to PAS pump bracket.
7. Fit nuts securing pump but DO NOT tighten.
NOTE: Injection pump nuts are tightened after ignition timing as been set.

Remove tool 18G 1615.9. Fit pump drive gear washer and nut, and with assistant restraining crankshaft, tighten nut to 88 Nm.
10. Clean access plug and mating face. Fit NEW sealing washer and tighten plug.
11. Set injection timing.
See Adjustments.12. Position compressor to mounting bracket.
13. Fit bolts securing compressor and tighten to 25 Nm.
14. Fit bolts securing compressor support bracket and tighten to 25 Nm.
15. Position jockey pulley, fit bolt and tighten to 45 Nm.
NOTE: LH thread.

Lower engine, fit engine RH mounting through bolt, position special nut and tighten bolt to 45 Nm.17. Remove lifting hoist and lifting eye.
18. Fit PAS pump pulley shield and tighten bolts.
19. Air conditioning: Align air conditioning pipe clip to pulley shield and tighten bolt
20. Position top hose clip to bracket and tighten nut.
21. Connect fuel feed hose and secure clip.
22. Connect injection pump multiplugs.
23. Connect fuel cut-off solenoid multiplug and secure to bracket.
